  7.      National holidays fall under your jurisdiction. The United States needs a holiday in August. Americans deserve more summer days off.  I propose the following:

  9.            Good Neighbor Day, where not only do we celebrate with acts of kindness to the Jones', we officially recognize Canada and Mexico. (first Monday in August)
  10.            Cold War Armistice Day, so that our children will not forget the lessons of that long, hard-fought war. (8/9)
  11.            Mucho Augusto, a midsummer festival of life that lasts for a full twenty-four hours. (8/15)
